The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Abate-Shen Lab has developed a unique highly penetrant bone metastasis mouse model and the overarching goal of this project is to elucidate the mechanism behind this metastasis and to eventually seek clinical solutions to improve survival in these advanced cases.
The Project Assistant will work on prostate cancer mouse modeling. The candidate will support Postdoctoral Research Scientists in Dr. Abate-Shen's Lab and Dr. Andrea Califano's Lab investigating novel genetic drivers of aggressive prostate cancer variants.

Responsibilities




  • Assist with making reagents as needed


  • Provide assistance with performing immunohistochemical analyses


  • Handle preparation of tissues for histological analyses sectioning and staining of tissues as needed and assist with data analyses as needed


  • Assist with laboratory maintenance

  • Perform other duties as required


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience
