Minimum Qualifications:

With submitted materials, the candidate must demonstrate

• Master of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Studio Art, Sculpture, or equivalent terminal degree conferred by the start of employment

• Teaching experience in higher education (including teaching as a graduate instructor of record)

• Demonstrated competency employing and/or teaching sculpture techniques

• A research record and portfolio of work that demonstrates either promise or an active practice in the field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching.

• Evidence of a comprehensive knowledge of traditional and contemporary sculpture practices and the ability to teach a wide range of sculpture techniques

• An active and excellent record of research achievement and evidence of, or demonstrated potential for, scholastic productivity at the national and/or international level.

• Strong evidence of the ability to be an active, involved, and collegial member of a collaborative faculty team both on campus and in relevant national service organizations.

• Evidence of, or demonstrated commitment to, advising and mentoring undergraduate, honors, and graduate students, including serving on or directing thesis committees and senior projects, etc.

• Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and cross-campus collaborations

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of students, staff, technicians, and faculty
