COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Kress is looking for a full time Compliance Manager to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. Our Compliance Manager will posses strong project management skills, a solid understanding of regulations related to the sale of goods around the globe, and the ability to create processes surrounding data gathering.

Responsibilities -

  • Establish and maintain compliance to a variety of regulations related to the sale of good to customers around the globe: CBAM, REACH, BIS, tariff codes, country of origin, USMCA, OFAC sanctions, and others as they arise
  • Ensure Kress is compliant with applicable laws for a specified range of legal doctrines related to the sale of goods
  • Meet customer expectations related to the provision of information they need to be compliant to a specified range of legal doctrines
  • Create processes to gather and store data as needed
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following Kress Corporation safety rules
  • Ensure proper application of company policy
  • Manage design costs and manufacturability



Accountability Areas & Critical Tasks -

  • Project manage projects related to compliance
  • Enlist legal services when needed
  • Work with other departments to exchange information and modify processes where needed
  • Implement data within Kress's ERP to ensure universal application of data
  • Gather data and perform calculations
  • Provide documents to customers



Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's degree in Business - Juris Doctor (JD) also considered
  • 4-10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience with a variety of regulatory issues
  • Basic understanding of heavy equipment parts sales
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Strong understanding of Excel
  • Prefer previous Infor experience

  • Reading and understanding complex compliance regulations and how they affect Kress legally and commercially
  • Project management with indirect leadership to implement data gathering and reporting where needed
  • Contextualizing legal concepts within the commercial reality
  • Interacting with attorneys as well as internal stake holders
  • Interacting with customers
  • Prioritizing resources
