Product Support Engineer - Steel Industry

Kress is looking for a full time Product Support Engineer - Steel Industry to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. The Product Support Engineer will provide a single point of contact for the customer base and provide direct technical support as required to ensure customer satisfaction, machine availability, and product confidence.

Responsibilities -

  • Coordinate, manage, and implement key customer site visits and meetings on a regular basis
  • Coordinate and manage customer related inquiries and responses to product related issues with the assistance of relevant internal departments and resources
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer related inquiries for the steel industry product while utilizing necessary internal departments and resources to best deliver prompt, reliable information
  • Collect and analyze field data and incorporate product improvements to new and existing steel industry product
  • Provide support to the Field Representatives during new steel industry product commissioning and conduct follow up meetings with all necessary department heads
  • Maintain and implement product improvement processes



Qualifications -

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (will consider previous equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in heavy equipment (steel/construction industry preferred)
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Unigraphics/NX preferred)
  • Strong ability to successfully multitask
  • Availability to travel 20% -30% (some travel may require short notice)
